Growing High Tech Manufacturing Company!PURCHASING adjunctPurchasing adjunctUnder the direction of the Purchasing Manager, generates purchase orders for production, engineering, and other functions within Sono-Tek in a cost-effective, timely manner. Maintains adequate parts inventory levels. Principal tasks and Responsibilities » Purchases all parts for production and engineering departments, as well as other items. » Obtains competitive quotes to source lowest cost suppliers meeting Sono-Tek quality &n bsp; requirements. » Negotiates and obtains delivery commitments from suppliers and when necessary expedites deliveries to meet Sono-Tek’s commitments to customers. » Maintains adequate parts inventory levels, located upon Work Order Shortage Requirement Report, Reorder Point Report, Line Down Report, production schedule and requests from management. » Enters data into MAS200, updates and distributes related reports. » Generates purchase orders, and monitors received goods for payment approvals. » Solicits quotes. expertise and practice The minimum educational requirement is an AAS in Business Management or Accounting, or equivalent. In addition, 1-2 years of purchasing or expediting work practice, including the use of spreadsheets and business software. Through training or job practice, expertise of how to read blueprints/drawings and routine technical specifications. expertise of electronics industry suppliers is valuable. Skill and capability Excellent telephone expertise are needed for continuing communication with vendors. Very good organizational expertise and attention to detail are required for accuracy. Good interpersonal expertise are essential for interface with various Sono-Tek personnel. capability to understand technical terminology for interface with engineering and production departments, as well as vendors. Good verbal and written communication expertise are needed for all aspects of this job. Starting Wage: $17 an hour Skills:
