Onsite Print Specialist

Job Outline
Job type : Full time, hourly, permanent, benefits
Reports To : VP, Western Canada
Location : Hiring for position in Winnipeg MB
Pay Range : $20 to $24 per hour, depending on practice. Plus benefits and paid vacation time.

SUMMARY
An exciting and dynamic print service function working independently within a professional office
environment to support, process and maintain orders for reprographic services; bindery and wrapping
for delivery. Use of various print equipment/machinery to produce and finish jobs to exact customer
standards. In between orders, the work area needs to be kept clean with other tasks to assist with
around the office. Must have a “Whatever it Takes” attitude while at the same time producing and
delivering the highest quality product.

The on-site Print Specialist Staff will be responsible for the following:

• Provide all reproduction services including large format black and white and colour, small
format black and white and colour, plotting and desktop printing.
• Understand and respond to clients' printing requests and work orders.
• Coordinate with ARC Divisions for jobs to be produced off-site when volumes dictate out-
of-house production
• In-house post-production including trimming, binding and finishing. Any non-standard finishing
requirements will be sent to the local ARC division or partner for fulfillment.
• Follow daily, established maintenance processes and procedures; maintain routine upkeep of
equipment including cleaning glass and surfaces, clearing paper jams, replenishing toner and
loading paper and minor maintenance as required.
• Respond to and coordinate all service calls required by customer. Troubleshoot printing concerns
and engage additional ARC resources as necessary.
• Assist end-users in functionality of equipment to optimize use of print devices.
• Collect meter usage information.
• Inbound and outbound mail and package processing and coordination of all external mail services
including standard mail, Fed-Ex, UPS, couriers, etc.
• Supply management and ordering / maintaining adequate supplies for all mailroom
equipment.

EDUCATION AND practice
• We are willing to train the right person.
• Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of practice in a print production
environment
• Computer practice (Adobe, Microsoft Outlook, Windows)
• capability to understand and communicate job-related information clearly and concisely.
• Must be able to work within a professional office environment and display relicapability and
punctuality while completing all assigned tasks on time.
