SUNY Orange is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative adjunct Registrar of Certification and Verification (ARCV) to join our Registrar's Office. The ARCV plays a key function in managing the College's enrollment certification processes and serves as the TAP Certifying agent, ensuring compliance with New York State regulations related to financial aid and student support programs.

this job offer collaborates with various internal departments including Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Athletics as well as with external agencies such as NYS Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) and the National Student Clearinghouse. The ARCV is expected to periodically travel between both campuses and other sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
   » Certify and manage a variety of NYS financial aid programs, including TAP, Excelsior, MERIT, VTA, CVP, and more.
   » Serve as the liaison between the College and NYS HESC; monitor regulatory changes and implement required updates.
   » Coordinate student enrollment reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse, NSLDS, and various military agencies.
   » Respond to student inquiries regarding state aid certification, enrollment verification, and graduation status.
   » Collaborate with the Financial Aid Office to ensure compliance and data accuracy.
   » Assist the Athletics Department with NCAA student-athlete enrollment verification.
   » Manage legal and FERPA-compliant enrollment information requests.

Requirements:
Education Required : Associate's Degree with three (3) years required practice or Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of required practice.

practice Required: practice working in a Registrar's office; Strong organizational, analytical and communication expertise. Proficiency with student information systems. knowledge of the Registrar's office processes.

Preferred Knowledge, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
   » Bachelor's degree.
   » practice in certification and verification including NYS HESC programs.
   » Banner practice
   » Community college or higher education practice.
   » capability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, all constituents and the public.
   » Perform well under pressure, within time constraints, with a high degree of accuracy, diplomacy and confidentiality.
   » capability to coordinate work flow while dealing with multiple projects and deadlines.
   » capability to present complex information and data in coherent fashion
   » Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites.
   » Bilingual expertise.

income: $47,764-63,287 per annum; commensurate with practice. This is a Staff & Chair, Grade 40, 12 month position.
