Collections SpecialistOur client near Wappingers Falls is seeking a Collections Clerk to help with the company collection efforts. You will be responsible for the active collection of Accounts Receivable. This includes regular, continuing communication with customers and the Finance department for resolving payment issues.As the Collections Clerk, you should have: » At least 2 years of practice with Accounting, Accounts Receivable and/or Collections » Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred » Proficient expertise of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook » A tough skin – while most of our customers are excellent to work with, collections is a tough function! Need an employee who can be assertive while remaining professional representing the company. Main Job tasks for the Collections Clerk: » Manage and follow up on accounts for collection of full or partial payment of overdue balances » Enter updated customer account data into the database and forward as necessary to account manager, service coordinator, and or manager » Track and report on all call activities as required » Follow-up with customers and internal management regarding resolution of customer account issues as necessary Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:30pm Pay : $21 per hour This is a temp-to-hire position. It is an excellent opportunity for a customer service focused, go-getter candidate. You will work independently as well as part of a team, so you must be comfortable with both.
