Northern Rivers is seeking an English/Language Arts Teacher for one of its schools. this job offer is responsible for the development and implementation of English/Language Arts classroom instructional plans for students.In this function, you will provide subject area instruction (English/Language Arts) that follow the NYS K-12 English/Language Arts Curricula and preparestudents for exit examinations and statewide assessments. RESPONSIBILITES » English/Language Arts instructional materials to provide individual and small group instruction to students of various capability levels, » Classroom instructional plans with the Special Education Teacher (SET) that integrates the student's IEP goals and objectives, learning style, as well as accommodations and modifications that are needed, and » Work with the Special Education Teacher (SET) on individual and classroom behavior plans for managing student behavior to maintain discipline in the classroom. EDUCATION and/or practice General Requirements: » Bachelor's degree in Communicationor subject area, as appropriate, and capability to work with students who demonstrate emotional and behavioral challenges, ages 6-21.
