Job Summary
The Program Administrator, Sr manages activities of the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development at RPI, also known as the Digital Gaming Hub, administered through the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences Program in the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. The Program Administrator, Sr is responsible for supervision and management of tasks related to the Hub's mission, including community management, outreach, events planning and execution, assessment and reporting, and program development. The Administrator supports, initiates, and manages interactions and relations with internal and external partners, including industry partners, community organizations, economic development agencies, funding source, and not-for-profit agencies, research labs, and other stakeholders in the games and digital media ecosystem.

The Administrator works with School of HASS Administration and staff, faculty, and other campus offices to plan and execute the Hub's programs; manage procurement and subcontract processes; prepare grant reports; and develop professional opportunities for students pursuing career paths in games.
This is a grant funded position.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in game design, digital media, communications, or a related field
Three (3) or more years of directly related practice.

   » Competency in budget management, procurement, travel, and reporting processes
   » Competency in public relations and public outreach
   » knowledge of the games industry, including different sectors such as large publishers, independents, and educational/serious games
   » knowledge of game production and competency in mentoring or supporting small game development teams

Shift
Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required

TravelOccasional overnight travel may be required(10% or less)

Driving
Driving a personal vehicle for non-passenger use

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $55,500 - $65,000

Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
