Supportive Housing & Homeless Services ManagerDescriptionChanging people for the better!We are seeking to hire a Supportive Housing and Homeless Services Manger to supervise, supervise and coordinate activities of Cornerstone Case Managers, Vocational Services at the Cornerstone and Case management Services. As the Supportive Housing and Homeless Services Manager , you'll supervise the Case Managers as well as ensure accurate implementation of and compliance with grant contracts. We prefer a Master's degree in Human services or related field and a minimum of three years of case management and housing practice, or an equivalent combination. Individuals with disabilities encouraged to apply. tasks AND RESPONSIBILITIES: » Maintains everyday managery oversight and coordinates the activities of:Cornerstone Case Manager(s)Vocational Services at the CornerstoneCase Management Services for Long Term Stay (off site) » supervises the development and implementation of all case management services for the tenants of the Cornerstone Residence at 111 Broadway and Long Term Stay off site housing program. » Hold direct reports accountable for the quantity and quality of their work in relation to the established benchmarks, for overall contract compliance, and for adherence to agency policies, procedures and practices. » Provides managery support, including evaluation and feedback relative performance in relation to project objectives, scheduling, file management, statistical record keeping and reporting. » Will monitor and approve all required documentation including timesheets, vouchers, service logs, vehicle maintenance and other program correspondence. » Develops expert expertise of contract management and ensures accurate implementation of and compliance with grant contracts issued by NYSOMH, OTDA and HUD by providing documentation required for statistical and monthly/quarterly/yearly reports. » Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and lines of communication with Safe Harbors of the Hudson (SHOH), Scattered Site Landlords local service and community-located providers. » Will be responsible for providing Case Management and advocacy services on behalf of all tenants, as well as facilitate the identification of goals and steps to remain in permanent housing, increasing expertise, and/or salary, and achieving greater self-determination. » supervises the provision of individual counseling, information and linkages with appropriate supportive services. » supervises programmatic efforts to maintain consumer confidentiality in conformity with all applicable state and federal requirements. » Establishes and facilitates staff training and provides technical support as necessary to accomplish service objectives. » Facilitates linkages with community-located resources, businesses, and community leaders connected with housing, employment, nutrition, transportation, health care, benefits planning, and recreation, as well as with other amenities that service recipients may wish to access. » Represent Independent Living on County-wide committees including, but not limited to, the Single Point of Access (SPOA) committee. » Facilitates linkages with other IL services. » Conducts and participates in meetings, informational forums and in-service presentations for the purposes of: gathering consumer input, introducing/clarifying the IL service model, representing the discapability perspective, advocating on behalf of persons with disabilities and cultivating potential collaborations. » Provides technical assistance to public agencies and local service providers, as necessary to further the attainment of service objectives. » Responsible for reporting requirements for programs » Carries out other tasks as required by the needs of the position. » The above list of responsibilities is not intended to be all inclusive, other responsibilities and/or training may be assigned or required. SHIFT: » Monday through Friday 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm, flexible.
