Business Banker / Universal Teller Floater

The Business Banker Floater is responsible for performing intermediate tasks and support related to branch operational activities and financial services; processes all new account transactions; assisting customers in their selection of various accounts and financial services; cross-selling the Bank's products and services; opening, maintaining and closing of all account types; performing branch clerical tasks; promoting business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services. The position of Business Banker Floater also is required to be fully expertiseable and skilled in the areas of new account desk, teller, and safe deposit. To assist new and existing customers in a professional and courteous manner and must be proficient in cross selling and up selling bank products. This is a floating position- you will be required, as needed, to travel to any branch to execute Business Banker tasks, as assigned.
Essential tasks and Job Responsibilities:
1. Provides support to all assigned areas of branch operations where service or assistance is needed.
2. Assist consumer and business customers in their selection of various accounts, products and financial services available from the Bank; ensures cross-sell opportunities are presented by applying professional sales techniques.
3. Interviews customers to obtain information; establishes proper identification of new customers; determines need and extent of reference investigation.
4. Assist Management in preparing for audits.
5. Perform regular daily, weekly and monthly customer service tasks.
6. Handle large sums of cash accurately and efficiently. Maintain Cash Limits.
7. To achieve and maintain customer satisfaction through excellence in service delivery, follow up and problem resolution.
8. Assist Management with Business Calls and budget goals.
9. Maintains a working expertise of the complete line of products and services offered. Takes responsibility to keep up to date and request assistance for further development needs.
10. Travel to all branches, as required, to all branches in Orange County. Upon request, occasional travel to Westchester/Rockland branches may be required.

Preferred: Associates Degree

Must be able to travel between our branches, as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Working Conditions: Position is performed in a branch setting. Travel is required between any of our branches. There is some external business contact.
• Equipment Operations: Network System, Computer (various software programs), adding machine, office equipment.
