HEAD FOOTBALL COACHHead Football Coachmanager: Director of Athletics Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full time. Position Purpose: supervises, organizes, and directs all aspects of a highly competitive Division III Football program in support of the mission and core values of Union College. The position will include a secondary responsibility assigned by the Director of Athletics. The football program is a member of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III and the Liberty League. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I. Essential Responsibilities and tasks: »Coaching and leadership abilities: Recruits and retains high achieving student-athletes. Builds relationships with players to provide mentorship, guidance, and support both on and off the field. Works to enhance the student-athlete practice through training, competition, and leadership abilities development. »Program Oversight and Administration: Adheres to NCAA rules and compliance. Manages the team budget including recruitment, equipment, travel, uniforms, and supplies. supervises team travel arrangements and scheduling. Recruits, hires, and supervises adjunct coaches. »Team Development and Innovation: Contributes ideas, input, and support to the Union Athletics Department. Seeks out, applies, and shares expertise of sport trends and innovations in playing and teaching. »Collaboration and Fundraising: Partners with campus stakeholders, particularly College Relations, to coordinate fundraising and alumni outreach. Builds strong relationships with alumni, fans, campus partners and the broader community. Connects student-athletes with academic and professional resources. Qualifications required » Bachelor's degree and five years of practice coaching football or a combination of significant education, training, certifications, and/or work practice. Master's degree and playing practice at the collegiate level is preferred. » practice in leading, motivating and providing guidance to high achieving and competitive student-athletes. » practice in recruiting and prosperously identifying talented prospective student-athletes who can thrive in a rigorous academic environment. » Demonstrated expertise of NCAA rules and regulations. » capability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends is required. » capability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 30 lbs.) and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time. » A valid New York State driver's license is required. » Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication expertise. » The capability to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues. Compensation The annual income range for this job offer is $115,00 - $125,000. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will be set located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
