Visiting adjunct Professor of FrenchUnion College invites applications for the position of Visiting adjunct Professor in French and Francophone Studies in the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures for two academic terms, beginning January and ending mid-June 2025. Applications received by September 30th will receive priority consideration.Position Description The prosperous candidate will be expected to teach two language courses per term, along with supporting our co-curricular programming. We seek a colleague with demonstrated excellence at basic and intermediate levels of language instruction (native or near-native fluency in French is required). We seek a candidate with a student-centered, communicative approach to language pedagogy. Evidence of co-curricular engagement, including planning cultural events, a plus. Ph.D. and ABD candidates are encouraged to apply. Compensation The annual income range for this job offer is $46,000-$48,000. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will be set located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
