Job Description - Fence Sales General Purpose The purpose of the Fence Salesman is to generate sales for the fencing department by establishing new accounts and ensuring the customer’s satisfaction. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Fence General Manager, Office Manager Essential Functions » Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing everyday work schedule to call on existing or potential sales leads » Focus sales efforts by gaining an knowledge of the customer’s needs » Keep Fence Manager informed of all incoming sales » Ensure that necessary product to complete the job is ordered, accurate and ready for the job » Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and evaluating the changing needs and specifications of customers » Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems » Maintain professional knowledge of products available » Communicate with the customer in a friendly, valuable and professional manner » Communicate with installation crews in a friendly, valuable and professional manner » Clean driver’s license and the capability to drive trucks and pass a drug test Physical Requirements » capability to operate a motor vehicle » capability to go to customer’s location and walk the property » capability to measure and knowledge of spatial relations » capability to work overtime during the busier seasons Mental/Reasoning Requirements » capability to schedule customers’ jobs and prioritize » Knowledge & practice with fence installation and project timelines » Computer expertise, Windows, Google, email » capability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation/warranties/billing » capability to use critical thinking processes to deal with problems and serve the customer Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general responsibilities of this job offer.
