Accounts Receivable Billing SpecialistPOSITION OVERVIEWPOSITION SUMMARYThe primary purpose of this job offer is to bill for program and services and collect on aged Accounts Receivable accounts for Northern Rivers and Affiliates.ESSENTIAL tasks AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other tasks may be assigned. Employees are expected to be awake and alert while working. » Perform monthly or quarterly billing for a variety of programs/services governed by contract or grant agreements. » Review contracts and grant agreements for billing requirements and determine rates or costs to be billed. » Collect on aged Accounts Receivable balances on a recurring monthly basis and follow up with multiple payers to effect cash collections of accounts. » Complete and file fiscal reports on a timely basis in conformity with contract or grant agreements. » Gain expertise and proficiency in the billing systems utilized by the organization. » Prepare accounting journal entries and reconcile accounts as assigned. » Act as back up support to team of A/R billing specialists. » Prepare analysis, reports, and other tasks as assigned by the manager, Director of Finance or CFO. EDUCATION and/or practice » Requires an Associates degree. » AR Specialist 1: six months of practice is preferred. » AR Specialist: two years of related practice is required.
