Nurse aide training programOverviewOpened in 1973, ArchCare at Ferncliff Nursing Home is located on 36 beautiful acres of the former Astor family estate just outside the historic village of Rhinebeck. Our goal is to provide the best possible practice through holistic care that addresses not only the residents' physical needs, but their social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs as well.This temporary assignment will serve as a bridge to the WIO: CNA Training Program and assist with resident care by providing unit support with the non-direct care activities listed below. This assignment will allow the potential CNA trainee to get a glimpse of the CNA practice from a non-direct care perspective; through observation and direct participation. By the end of this temporary assignment, both the prospective trainee and CNA Program Manager will be able to make an informed decision on whether to move forward into the next scheduled CNA Training class. Responsibilities» Make resident beds» Transport residents to activities and meals » Answer call bells » Answer unit phone » Check and stock supplies » Collect plates and cups after dining » Put away laundry/Labeling clothes for laundry » Check resident rooms for amenities » Alert nursing staff of resident needs as necessary » Perform Enhanced Observation of a resident/patient as assigned, to ensure safety, comfort and companionship. » Documents resident/patient behaviors, activities hourly in Behavior Book when assigned as to Enhanced Observation. » Other tasks as assigned QualificationsFormal suitable education High School Diploma or equivalent Education General Requirements: High School graduate preferred.Profil / Compétences:
