Listing description The Director of Institutional Research serves as the primary source for institutional data at the College and provides information in support of planning, assessment, policy development, and decision-making for all campus constituencies. this job offer is responsible for providing leadership abilities related to the systematic collection and organization of data; and in particular the advancement and development of reporting and analysis. The Director also ensures the timely and accurate reporting of institutional data to governmental and external constituents. RESPONSIBILITIES: » Serve as the College's chief reporting official for IPEDS and Middle States institutional profiles. » Provide data and analytical support for all activities related to evaluation, assessment, program review reporting and accreditation. » Assure compliance with mandatory data reporting to state, federal, and accrediting agencies and maintain data verification and quality control procedures. » supervise standard institutional reporting (e.g., enrollment data, graduation/retention rates). » Provide information and analysis to appropriate senior management, to include requests for studies on program evaluation, administrative issues, demographic data, enrollment, enrollment trends/projections, information for grant applications and any information that might enhance long range planning and evidence-located decision-making. » Manage data and respond to routine and ad-hoc queries for all College departments, especially Academic Affairs and Finance & Administration. » Provide direction to the campus community regarding survey design, implementation and data collection methodologies for both small-scale and complex projects. » Interpret and report results of institutional surveys, providing objective and neutral data assessment. » Network with external organizations in order to obtain valid external data. » Provide data analysis for strategic institutional planning and policy decisions and programmatic planning. » Develop and maintain consistent methodologies for reporting institutional data to internal and external constituencies. » Present data and analysis to campus community. » Identify, design, and execute research projects that address important and timely strategic questions for the College. » Maintain and supervise annual update and production of a College Fact Book. General Requirements: » Master's Degree in a related field of study » Minimum of three years of practice in the management of data and analysis in support of institutional research and educational assessment » broad expertise of higher education administration » Demonstrated expertise of research methods, design and analysis, including quantitative and qualitative approaches » practice using data visualization tools such as Tableau » Advanced level computer expertise using a Windows located operating system, specifically MS Word, Excel (graphics, pivot tables), Access » Proficiency maintaining and utilizing databases and data warehouses » practice using Elucian Banner, SQL, and statistical packages such as SAS or SPSS preferred » capability to collaborate with College leaders at all levels of the institution to deliver the most informative and significant data essential to shaping institutional strategy and direction » Demonstrated written communication and presentation expertise » Strong organizational expertise and capability to multitask » practice collaborating with and supporting diverse populations Additional Information: In addition to income, compensation includes comprehensive health and dental benefits, generous time off, a tuition remission plan for employees and dependents, a 403b located retirement plan and wellness programs including the use of our fitness center.
