Job Summary The Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty position starting Fall 2025, at the adjunct Professor level, from scholars who work in areas at the cutting edge of entrepreneurship research. We are expanding Lally School's renowned entrepreneurship teaching and research portfolios. The Lally School of Management provides an intellectually stimulating and collaborative environment for inter-disciplinary scholarly contributions with support for research, teaching, and service. We are pursuing an outstanding candidate who is driven and willing to engage with the vibrant, diverse and inclusive cross-disciplinary research community at Rensselaer. The Lally School seeks candidates whose areas of research include entrepreneurship and innovation. Preferred candidates will have an entrepreneurship-focused research agenda at the micro level. The position will also align with the Rensselaer's Severino Center for Technological Entrepreneurship ( and the Office of Strategic Alliances and Translation ( practice in and deep expertise of entrepreneurs and technological entrepreneurship, as well as starting new ventures and family-own businesses, would be a plus. Familiarity with experimental and research methods would also be a plus. Qualifications Candidates must have a PhD degree in a significant business discipline from an accredited business school along with demonstrated evidence of producing original and innovative scholarly work, preferably with publications in premier business journals. The prosperous candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in our graduate and undergraduate courses in basic and advanced topics in management and entrepreneurship, as well as provide service to the Lally School of Management and to Rensselaer. Candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching, and must have the capability to demonstrate, through accomplishment, promise of academic, scholarly and/or research achievement in matters related to entrepreneurship and management The prosperous candidate will join Lally as a tenure-track adjunct professor. We are particularly seeking candidates to teach entrepreneurship courses under the normal teaching load of 2-2. Shift Business Hours: Monday - Friday Starting income/Rate Expected hiring range: $160,000 - $170,000 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials.
