Quality Control Analyst

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Quality Control Analyst. Primary Function: responsible for evaluating and monitoring the quality of consumer loan originations for collectcapability, credit, compliance and risk.
Responsibilities
   » Conduct independent quality control reviews of samples of finalized consumer loans (including home equity, business purpose loans and modifications) for collectcapability, credit, risk and compliance.
   » Analyzes findings for trends and errors as relate to system or manual process, fraud, procedure and/or training concerns. Identify system, workflow and process problems and recommend resolutions.
   » Documents findings and trends. Compiles results and issues reports to management for review and response. Reports material findings to management immediately.
   » Recommends changes to policies and procedures to decrease loan errors and deficiencies.
   » Perform quality control reviews of HMDA data collected and uploaded to the HMDA software to ensure accurate HMDA reporting. Acts as the administrator for the HMDA software, including maintenance and training.
   » Maintains a working expertise of consumer lending processes and procedures, and applicable lending regulations.
   » Review monthly exception reports received from each of the credit bureaus. Identifies causes of exceptions and contacts appropriate departments for corrections to ensure accurate credit reporting.
   » Cross train in other Collection/Quality Control functions and performs them as required.
   » Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
   » High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate required
   » Associate’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent practice for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of practice preferred
   » Minimum 2 Years quality assurance, audit, loan underwriting, loan processing practice required
