Academic Online Bookstore ManagerThe Academic Online Bookstore Manager will manage all curriculum and digital assets that are used in Excelsior courses. The prosperous candidate will be responsible for managing digital curriculum contracts, all curriculum in the bookstore, renewals, and curriculum adoption. this job offer works closely with the Sr. Director of Library and Learning Services, Department Chairs, and the provost team.Reporting to the Executive Director of Instructional Design and Development, the candidate will create a comprehensive database of curriculum, manage bookkeeping, renewal dates, and vendor relationships. Candidates who envision working remotely are encouraged to apply. tasks and Responsibilities » Manages the vendor relationship between the bookstore and the institution. » Generates the term-to-term bookstore calendar to align with the adoption process. » Engages in faculty outreach targeting courses during the adoption cycle. » Strategically and collaboratively works with stakeholders to build programs and initiatives. » Collaborates with the Director of Quality Assurance to review adoptions for compliance and quality assurance. » Collects, edits, confirms, and enters faculty adoptions into the bookstore platform. » Identifies and communicates Zero Textbook Courses (ZTC) on the bookstore site. » Monitors the course materials inventory on the bookstore site. » Creates and reports bookstore metrics for continuous improvement. » Conducts regular assessments using metrics and stakeholder feedback to reveal the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of current practices and utilization of available resources. » Prepares and delivers regular reports on price analysis, adoption rates, ZTC, open orders, and customer service metrics to stakeholders. » Develops, implements, and manages the outreach for all bookstore communications across the university. » supervises the MyExcelsior bookstore student portal. » Assists to resolve all bookstore issues. » Monitoring security of bookstore platform (FAST) access. » Communicates effectively in writing and orally in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications » Bachelor's degree » Proven proficiency with academic bookstore platforms and operations. » consciousness of current and emerging trends, issues, standards, systems, and best practices in bookstore practices, digital collections, institutional repositories, publishing, OER, open education, affordable course content with an skills in one of these areas. » Outstanding organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, and capability to develop efficient workflows. » capability to work collaboratively and effectively manage projects that involve diverse individuals who may be local or at a distance. » capability to adapt to change and lgain new procedures. » capability to excel in a changing university environment. » practice with relationship and community building as well as a strong service orientation. » Project management skills. » Strong leader with practice coordinating work across administrative and academic departments, preferably within a college or university.
