Associate Dean- School of Nursing

The AD leads the faculty in the development and continuing evaluation and enhancement of the nursing curricula. The AD serves as a leader in building and fostering interprofessional practice relationships and alliances, as part of an online regional strategy. The AD represents the School of Nursing to clinical partners and affiliates to foster the School’s mission. The AD assists the dean in developing collaborations with policy and political agencies including Boards of Nursing and accrediting agencies to advance the School’s agenda.
The AD is a member of the SON leadership abilities team and reports to the Dean of Nursing; leading a team of both on-site and remote Nursing faculty and academic administrative staff. Minimum on campus, in person presence is expected 2 day/week for 2 weeks/month. The remainder of full time expectation may be spent virtually from a home office with reliable Internet access. When the AD is working remotely, they are expected to be available during business hours, actively participate in virtual meetings, and respond to emails/calls in a timely manner.
tasks and Responsibilities 
   » Supports the Dean and SON leadership abilities to identify, prioritize, and lead strategic initiatives within the School, including but not limited to the establishment of annual goals and support to the budgetary process.
   » Works on special projects within the School as they arise and develops evaluation plans to determine implementation fidelity and success
   » Applies project management skills to long-range initiatives in SON
   » Established record of excellence in teaching.
   » capability to organize and lead groups of faculty.
   » Established record of adherence to academic standards and commitment academic excellence
   » Assessment of faculty instruction, prosperous track record in Faculty development and coaching.
   » Administrative practice at the level of department chair, associate dean or equivalent.
   » practice in undergraduate pre-licensure nursing education, preferably at the associate degree level
   » practice with nursing programmatic accreditation.
   » practice with NCLEX success
Qualifications 
   » Earned doctorate, preferably in nursing
   » Master of science with major in nursing
   » Leading faculty, NCLEX success, Accreditation
   » Distinguished record of interprofessional collaboration and scholarship.
   » Demonstrated expertise and practice working with accrediting agencies, preferably nursing education accreditors, including leading degree programs through prosperous site visits.
   » A creative thinker who is capable of evaluating current business processes and providing innovative solutions that increase quality and efficiency.
   » Strong background in data analytics and comfort with ambiguity and change.
   » practice supervising and leading teams.
   » Strong leader with practice coordinating work across administrative and academic departments, preferably within a college or university.
   » capability to work with diverse constituencies and staff.
   » Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The hiring income range for this job offer is $120,000.00 - $155,000.00. The hiring income range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.
