adjunct DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

adjunct Director of Community Engagement
Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular full-time
manager: Director of Community Engagement and Outreach
Position Purpose: Contributes to the development and implementation of community outreach programs. Serves as a liaison between students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Essential Responsibilities and tasks:
   »Community Partnerships: Maintains relationships with local organizations and schools. Represents the College at events in the community. Collaborates with College departments, student clubs, organizations, and groups to develop student growth and community impact.
   »Programming: In partnership with the Director plans and implements the Community practice Pre-Orientation for First Year Students. supervise engagement programs on and off campus. Manages continuing service opportunities for members of the campus community. Works closely with student groups that are focused on community engagement. Support annual programs sponsored by the department.
   »Administration: Develops communications for community-engaged learning programs, including promotional materials, and social media content. Hires, trains, and supervises student employees. supervise volunteer data collection and program assessment.
Qualifications required
   » Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years practice running programs working with the community or college aged populations and/or a combination of significant education, training, certifications, and/or work practice. A Master's degree is preferred.
   » this job offer will require non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends.
   » Valid New York State driver's license to drive campus vehicles to events and programs is required.
   » Highly proficient in using a range of business office software applications.
   » Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of students, alumni, faculty, and fellow professionals.
   » Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of students, faculty, alumni, supervises, and fellow staff colleagues.
   » capability to identify risks connected with events/programs and develop a plan with students to minimize connected risk when possible.
   » Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
   » Able to proactively identify and pursue significant learning and professional development opportunities and apply new expertise, insights, and expertise to enhance results.
   » Prior practice managing a department budget and supervising professional staff is preferred.
The annual income range for this job offer is $57,000.00 - $58,500.00. Starting income will be commensurate with qualifications.
