SUNY Orange is currently seeking a full-time adjunct Director for the Center for Student Success to join the Learning and Student Success Division.
The adjunct Director for the Center for Student Success will assist and support the Director in the design and implementation of programming and student resources which positively impact institutional retention and student success. This leadership abilities position will serve as a direct point of contact for students, providing academic support services and engaging students through a variety of activities that ensure progression toward graduation. The adjunct Director will possess expertise of student development theories/practices and best practices related to student success, retention and persistence. Housed organizationally within the Center for Student Success (CSS), and under the supervision of the CSS Director, the adjunct Director will work collaboratively across the institution to develop relationships with students, faculty, and staff in order to continuously improve retention programs to support students. The adjunct Director will be a visionary leader, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

General Requirements:

Education Required: Bachelor's degree or higher.
practice Required: practice working in education, and/or higher education, post-secondary and/or student services department or learning enrichment relatable field.
Preferred expertise, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
   » Bachelor's degree in student development, psychology, education or related field;
   » Community college or higher education practice;
   » managery or leadership abilities practice;
   » capability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel, coworkers, all constituents and the public;
   » Perform well under pressure, within time constraints, with a high degree of accuracy, diplomacy and confidentiality;
   » capability to coordinate work flow while dealing with multiple projects and deadlines;
   » capability to present complex information and data in coherent fashion;
   » Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites;
   » Bilingual expertise (Spanish).

income: $50,208 - $66,526, commensurate with practice. This is a 12 month, Staff & Chair, Grade 50, position.
