Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care results. » Carries out the Agency's mission, philosophy, goals and objectives within guidelines of Agency policy and position function. » Interprets and implements the Agency's philosophy to staff and members of the community. » Assumes responsibility for assignments given, seeks supervision appropriately, and is accountable for his/her actions by performing within the limits of his/her education and practice. » Knows and conforms to the laws governing the practice of a practical nurse and provides nursing care using all elements of the nursing process. » Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and performs nursing procedures and techniques within scope of practice » Uses equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently. » Represents the Agency at blood pressure clinics to provide screening and health promotion. » Participates in personal and professional growth and development. » Maintains and upgrades professional expertise and practice expertise through attendance/participation in continuing and in-service education programs. » Performs other tasks as assigned by the RN.
