Speech Language Pathologist/Primary College managerthis job offer supervises undergraduate and graduate students at both on-campus and off-campus placement sites, completes clinical advisement with the placement coordinator, and teaches the undergraduate seminar course.RESPONSIBILITIES: » Provide clinical supervision for graduate students placed at the Pauline K. Winkler Speech-Language-Hearing Center (10 sessions per week). » Provide primary supervision for undergraduate and graduate students placed off-campus (18 students per semester) » Teach undergraduate seminar course » Provide clinical advisement for at least 1/3 of students completing placements per semester » Monitor clinical hours for all graduate students to ensure they are meeting ASHA standards prior to graduation » Coordinate annual managers' workshop » Meet regularly with student clinicians » Attend weekly department meetings » Attend weekly manager meetings Required Qualifications required » Master's Degree » Must hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, New York License in Speech-Language Pathology, and New York State Education Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped Certification » Familiarity with ASHA requirements for clinical managers » capability to travel to students' off-campus clinical placements on a everyday basis » At least 3 years of clinical practice preferred » Clinical managery practice preferred » Excellent interpersonal and organization expertise PHYSICAL General Requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods at a time and exhibit dexterity in keyboard applications.
