manager Member Debt SolutionsOverviewHudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of manager Member Debt Solutions. Primary Function: directly supervise, coach, and develop Member Debt Solutions staff in the everyday activities of the Member Debt Solutions Department in order to achieve organizational and department goals. Monitor the everyday activities of the Member Debt Solutions representatives to support Credit Union key financial metrics and core values. Responsibilities » Monitor everyday collection efforts through queue reviews and side-by-side coaching. Provide everyday feedback to employees on collection efforts. Model during everyday interactions by setting the example, outlining clear and attainable expectations and closely monitoring key performance metrics of direct reports. supervise the continuing status of collection queues. » Monitor the entire repossession process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing workflows for efficient recovery of assets. » Track employee performance by monitoring and evaluating results of collection queues and key collector metrics. Deliver results to Member Debt Solutions reps during monthly one on one meetings and annual performance appraisal. » Provide high level resource support to direct reports by maintaining a complete knowledge of HVCU collection processes, policies and procedures. Handle member escalations to ensure member concerns are resolved properly. » Analyze data from collection software system to assist in achieving preset, monthly delinquency and charge-off goals. » Interview, hire and evaluate Member Debt Solutions employees. Coordinate new hire training and ensure employee training needs are met. Pursue development opportunities for staff to support the Credit union’s goals and employee development. » Consistently contribute to the Credit Union’s initiative of continuous improvement by communicating suggestions that enhance revenue, reduce expenses, creates lean efficiencies and / or streamlines and improves operations. » Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned. » Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. Qualifications » High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or state authorized high school equivalent certificate; or a current high school senior in possession of a certificate of satisfactory academic standing required. » Associate’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent practice for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of practice preferred. » Minimum 2 years collection practice practice required. » Minimum 1 year managery or leadership abilities practice in a financial institution required.
