SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER-SHORT TERM SUB - Millbrook CSD; &nb sp; & nbsp; Short-Term Substitute– Special Education TeacherGeneral Job Responsibilities: » Position beginning on/or about March 9, 2023 » Have teaching practice; » capability to develop and implement IEPs; » Trained in (preferred) MSRP language instruction such as Orton Gillingham or Wilson; » Provide academic testing and interpret data to plan diagnostic and prescriptive lessons; » Create differentiated lessons that address individual student learning styles via formative data; » Understand the special education process and can prosperously demonstrate various effective co-teaching models; » Be able to utilize data to target instruction to provide targeted intervention across various content areas to promote academic student growth; » Utilize an inquiry-located approach to teaching; » Be positive, enthusiastic, & have a broad depth of expertise of instructional strategies; » Promote social-emotional learning that aligns with positive character education development; » Use technology to enhance & augment instruction; » Provide equitable and culturally competent learning practices; » Collaborate with colleagues to promote prosperous literacy strategies across content areas; » Identify & participate in opportunities to expand expertise through professional development; » Invest in the Millbrook Educational community through activities outside of the classroom in an area of student interest (preferred). » NYS Special Education and/or Students with Disabilities certification (required) » Dual certification preferred » Bilingual Candidates preferred Return the following with the letter of interest response: » A completed OLAS application including a letter of interest and resume. » Copy of certification(s) Address Application materials to: Elliot Garcia, adjunct Superintendent for Business & Personnel elliot.garcia@millbrookcsd.org Open Until Filled Profil / Compétences:
