Job Summary The Planner for Capital Projects & Sustaincapability develops and coordinates the Institutes planning efforts to improve and maximize the efficient use of campus spaces and to create physical environments that advances the Institute's overall mission. The Planner will create and assemble development design and budget documents to support the Institute's annual capital budget process, and also maintain and implement facilities information and document management standards that align all Campus Capital Projects. The Planner serves as the primary Institute liaison for prioritizing, developing and implementing all sustainable related projects. Minimum Qualifications » A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Planning or closely related field. » Minimum of 3-5 years' practice in facilities management, facilities programming and project management. » significant combination of education, directly related practice, and training may be substituted for a degree. significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered. Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities » capability to read and understand general construction documents, specifications, and contracts. » expertise of construction media, tools, equipment, and standards. » Working expertise of architectural programming processes. » Proficiency in Microsoft Office. » Must be familiar with design and project planning/scheduling and resource software applications, e.g. CADD, Microsoft Project, Adobe, etc. » Must be flexible in work style; able to work effectively with project representatives and workers from all fields. » Demonstrated Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. » capability to handle multiple fast-paced projects and tasks. » capability to meet deadlines while under pressure. » capability to anticipate and proactively solve problems.
