A Regulatory Planning Analyst works within the Regulatory Planning division of the Regulatory Affairs team and performs various financial analyses and reports while participating in rate case and other related filings with regulatory agencies to support the Company’s cost recovery efforts. Analysts work closely with the Accounting & Tax and Financial Planning departments within the Company and external regulatory agencies. Title is commensurate with practice. What does a Regulatory Planning Analyst do? » Assist in the preparation of rate case filings including the development and review of testimony and exhibits in support of the Company’s request » Develop and review responses to information requests received from regulatory agencies » Compilation and analysis of data in the preparation of reports and filings with regulatory agencies and other outside constituencies » Potentially serve as an expert witness in support of testimony and exhibits before the New York State Public Service Commission » Assist with preparation of annual budget and strategic forecasts » Prepare monthly and annual regulatory and financial reports » Drive and implement process changes to foster continuous improvement » Assist with special projects as needed What does it take to be a Regulatory Planning Analyst? Required: » Bachelor's Degree » Well-developed written/verbal communication expertise » Strong analytical, organizational and quantitative expertise » capability to work in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment » capability to work individually or as part of a group on special projects » Strong computer expertise and a high level of proficiency with MS Office suite (e.g. Excel, Word & PowerPoint) » Valid driver’s license Preferred: » Field of study in Accounting, Finance, or Economics » practice with regulatory, accounting, and financial reporting systems Applications will be accepted until March 7, 2023.
