WAREHOUSE manager

Work Days: Monday - Friday
Shift Start/End Time: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30pm
Hours Per Week: 40

Warehouse manager
Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Regular full-time.
manager: adjunct Director of Facilities - Business Manager
Position Purpose: supervises all warehouse activities including procurement, receiving, distribution of materials for inventory and storage in the stockroom and warehouse; maintains all inventory records; requisition stocked items; purchases materials for Facilities Services. Ensures efficient processes and maximizes productivity. The warehouse manager's responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing significant documentation.
Essential Responsibilities and tasks:
   »Warehouse Management: Manages everyday activities of staff including work study students. supervises a $250K physical inventory, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity which includes multiple warehouses. Tracks and coordinates the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials utilizing software and scanners.
   »Logistics: Performs a everyday inspection of the warehouse grounds. Conducts monthly and annual inventory; removing obsolete inventory and recommending changes to stock. Communicates and coordinates with other departments and customers. Collaborates with the Facilities and Central events department for needs across campus while providing leadership abilities to our logistics support team (movers) to ensure priority and services are maintained at a high level.
   »Procurement: Collaborates with directors, managers and managers to procure materials and supplies for projects. Develops and maintains vendor relationships to source best price, timely delivery. Manages department credit cards and P-cards. Administers procurement of supplies and appropriate inventory levels. Verifies and approves orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy. Maintains records, reporting significant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
Qualifications required
   » Associates degree in related field or comparable practice with a minimum five years of practice and/or a combination of education, training, and practice. Bachelor's degree preferred.
   » Certification in forklift operation, lifting/carrying, protective exposure to chemicals.
   » Trade expertise and strong working expertise of materials from various trades (i.e. Plumbing, HVAC, electrical).
   » Able to execute minor repairs to various tools.
   » practice in Inventory Control, attention to detail, capability to interact with people and work within established guidelines.
   » Excellent computer, organizational and communication expertise.
   » Proficient in MS Office.
   » capability to stay focused in a busy environment with many interruptions while producing quality work.
   » Demonstrated capability to lgain new systems and software.
   » The capability to foster and enhance a thriving, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, alumni, faculty, and staff colleagues.

Compensation
The rate for this job offer is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. Except for functions with a set rate of pay, the wage/income of the finalist selected for this function will be set located on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, practice, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
