The manager is responsible for promoting customer service, customer satisfaction and customer convenience with regards to payment options, and proper and timely processing of payments, as well as supervising mailroom staff activities. What does a manager – Cash Processing do? » Supervises mailroom staff activities, ensures quality of mail delivery and other mailing projects, as well as managing vendor relationships (courier, Pitney Bowes, USPS, UPS, Fed Ex) » Maintains technology and equipment and manages department budget » Fills vacant positions and handles employee onboarding and training. » Directs and supervises the activities of classified employees to assure on time processing of customer payments and accounting for cash » Handles processing and accounting of various bank balances, and reports to bank; while administering internal control procedures. » Maintains thorough expertise of the posting process of customer payments to hardware, through server, to SAP and posting customer accounts through nightly batch processing. Performs a variety of assignments pertaining to the Cash Processing function, including but not limited to, bank research and reconciliation, assuring timely deposit of funds, compiling of financial information, and posting to the appropriate General Ledger accounts. » Maintains control of and primary responsibility for the corporation's advance account. » Supports storm/emergency restoration efforts What does it take to be a manager – Cash Processing? Required: » Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance. » Strong computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the capability to lgain new computer software programs quickly » Excellent written and verbal communication expertise to satisfy customer inquiries, concerns, and requests » Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management expertise to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines » Must be customer-focused, self-motivated, and possess strong decision-making and critical thinking expertise » Valid driver’s license Preferred: » practice in Banking » practice supervising and leading a team, coaching, and mentoring employees; practice managing union personnel » practice working in the regulated electric and/or gas utility industry » practice and/or proficiency with SAP Applications will be accepted until March 27, 2023 .
