Job Summary The Associate Dean, reporting to the Dean for Student Living and Learning, is responsible for the management of the adjunct Deans, Residential Directors and Resident adjuncts assigned primarily to upper-class clusters and ensures Clustered Learning Advocacy and Support for Students (CLASS) is advanced within Rensselaer's residential clusters. The Associate Dean works collaboratively with the Class Deans in order to enhance the overall Rensselaer student practice. In addition, the Associate Dean ensures the development and implementation of programs, services, and collaborative efforts and ensures compliance with community living standards which includes the implementation of disciplinary actions as necessary. (CLASS)- Clustered Learning, Advocacy, and Support for Students is a comprehensive approach to the student practice at Rensselaer. Through continuing support, guidance, and co-curricular activities, CLASS connects students to a network of faculty, staff, and other students, ensuring that they are part of a strong community of learners. Minimum Qualifications » Masters degree in student personnel, higher education administration, counseling or related area » Five years of significant practice in higher education administration, with 3 years of working in student housing/residential life » practice in program planning, budget development, and assessment candidates must meet stated minimum education and practice requirements.
