Job Summary The Lead Library Specialist , superviseing Access Services, is responsible for executing and managing advanced library tasks at the paraprofessional level. this function requires a comprehensive knowledge of library-wide operations and specialized skills in Access Services (including circulation, stacks maintenance, student employee supervision, scheduling desk coverage, and superviseing the physical spaces). The Lead Library Specialist supervises junior staff and manages budgeting and performance within their sub-unit. Minimum Qualifications » Bachelor's Degree in Library Sciences or related field » 4 or more years directly related practice in a library setting » practice must include one year of managery practice, practice as a lead worker, or leading projects » One year project planning, project management and/or managery practice or practice as a lead worker significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered. Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities » capability to create a welcoming environment that is inclusive of constituents from diverse backgrounds » capability to interact effectively with faculty, staff and students as well as external clients » capability to lgain new software » Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail » Good verbal and written communication skills » capability to execute basic financial functions » capability to supervise student workers Shift Business Hours: Monday - Friday TravelNo travel Driving No Driving Starting income/Rate Expected hiring range: $65,000 - $70,000 Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials.
