Great Team w/ Great BenefitsCommercial Construction EstimatorJob descriptionCOMMERCIAL PROJECT ESTIMATOR – East Peoria, IL LS Building Products is a private, locally owned company, with production and distribution locations all over the Greater Central Illinois Region. Our goal at LS Building Products is to be the premier distributor of building materials in our markets, and to provide superior customer service and professional support to those we serve. Our commercial estimators are an integral part of meeting revenue goals and providing superior service to our existing customers. JOB tasks: · Review and organize all information necessary to provide accurate takeoffs and estimates, including specifications review, reading plans, generating materials list, and all other project and contractual documents to understand the scope and project needs · Use internal and external resources to obtain timely and accurate material prices and necessary vendor quotes · Combine all material, production, shipping and other connected costs to present the final proposed pricing in a clear and professional manner · Prepare any necessary purchase orders to submit to vendors · Respond quickly and accurately to customer and internal questions regarding the project and the proposed quote · Ensure change orders are received and processed · Maintain relationships with sub-contractors and vendors · Coordinate scheduling the receipt and delivery of materials to the jobsite REQUIRED expertise: · General knowledge and knowledge of construction plans, material lists, etc. · Communication expertise – verbal and written · Able to work independently and as part of a team · capability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment · Highly organized · Computer expertise – able to master both internal and external quoting systems Type of employment: Full-time COMPENSATION: · Starting at $24/hr (depending on expertise and practice) · Potential annual performance bonus BENEFITS: · Health insurance (industry low single and family premiums) · Dental, vision and life insurance · Paid time off · 401(k) w/ match suitable education High School or Equivalent practice : Minimum Construction Estimating 3 Years (Preferred) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Sitting, standing, walking, reaching for extended periods of time Type of employment: Full-time Skills:
