VP, Director of Project Execution

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of VP/Director of Project Management Office. Primary Function: Develop and execute the vision, mission, and strategic direction for the Project Management Office (PMO), aligning it with the Credit Union’s strategic goals and objectives
Responsibilities
   » Provide direct leadership abilities, guidance, and mentorship to a team of project management professionals within the PMO. May indirectly or matrix-manage employees, project leaders, consultants, and contractors as needed.
   » Develop and maintain high levels of team effectiveness by demonstrating trust, communication expertise, collaboration, productivity, diversity and engagement.
   » Conduct regular assessments and reviews of project management processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements.
   » Work closely with the AVP of Resource Planning and Portfolio Management to align project execution timing and report on project management led projects.
   » Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor project progress, risks, and interdependencies.
   » Foster strong relationships with senior leadership abilities, managers, and key stakeholders across the company to maintain consciousness of research initiatives and upcoming project needs. Ensure that potential projects are appropriately identified, communicated, and aligned to the goals of the company.
   » Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
   » Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Purpose, Impact, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
   » Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality
Qualifications

 
   » Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years equivalent practice for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of practice required
   » Minimum 5 Years leadership abilities practice with direct or indirect management span, preferably within PMO or similar function required
   » Minimum 5 Years of Project Management practice required
   » Project Management Professional (PMP) or other significant certifications preferred
