Business Analyst IIOverviewHudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Business Analyst II. Primary Function: perform financial forecasting/modeling of operational data. Support Business Analytics initiatives by participating in projects that provide workflow process improvements for various Credit Union functional channels. Responsibilities » Perform diagnostic/predictive analysis of profitcapability reports to identify earnings opportunities/improvements. » Work with the accounting department with the creation and distribution of monthly Branch/Department profitcapability reports. » Create reports/dashboards to illustrate various operational forecasts, scenarios, trends, analyses, etc. as requested by Banking Division & practice leadership abilities. » Analyze the profitcapability of HVCU members, products and departments. Produce financial and market intelligence data by querying repositories and generating periodic reports. Assist with identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. » Work with Manager Business Analytics to implement and maintain Business Analytics Initiatives. » Work with Business Analytics Team in validation of third-party data imports, internal/external reports, and dashboards provided to Senior Management and applicable shareholders. » Support and validate external financial models, internal tabular models, and Power BI data sets. » Create and/or maintain programming/stored procedures that directly impact the Banking Division and practice teams, including tabular data model sets that support data visualization of financial and market intelligence periodic reporting. » Coordinate with other departments to understand operations within their area that have a significant impact to the Banking Division & practice teams in order to provide analysis in support of their business strategies. » Assist in the implementation of process improvement initiatives for the Banking Division & practice teams by working with key stakeholders in applicable departments. » Work ad hoc report requests submitted through service ticket system and approved by Business Analytics Manager. » Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises.
