Adult Education- HVAC Teacher- DCB 1992- 22/23Anticipated Vacancy:HVAC Teacher- Adult Education Do you feel the shortage of well-trained HVAC technicians in Dutchess County? If you are an practiced HVAC technician,you may be the right person to teach a new generation of talent for the HVAC workforce. LOCATION(S): Adult Learning Institute tasks: The chosen candidate will teach a series of HVAC courses. Module 1 sets the foundation for candidates entering the HVAC field, Module 2 is focused on Air Conditioning, and Module 3 focuses on Oil Heat. All courses include lecture and lab time to introduce HVAC concepts and systems, safety, and entry level job tasks including shop organization and inventory. The class will meet two or three evenings a week, for three to four hours per night, module dependent. Course sessions range from 23 to 26 nights. Qualifications required The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of practice in the HVAC field with an associate's degree, but the right candidate's practice level will be taken into account.
