We are currently seeking a Cook/Kitchen Manager or Head of Player Nutrition to lead and organize our kitchen operations. Position: Cook/Kitchen Manager Job location: Pleasant Valley Job employment Type: Direct Hire Hourly Rate: $30 per hour Listing description As our Cook/Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial function in ensuring the smooth and effective functioning of our kitchen. You will be responsible for organizing and running the kitchen to meet high cleanliness standards and to efficiently provide nutritious meals focused on the specific needs of our residents. Your skills will be instrumental in creating a well-thought-out menu for our programs and devising a cost-effective buying plan for food and supplies to support our programming operations. Key Management Objectives: » Excellent Organizational Skills: You will be in charge of coordinating various kitchen activities, ensuring a seamless flow of operations, and maintaining a well-organized workspace. » Nutritional Meals: Your culinary skills will be directed towards providing healthy and balanced meals tailored to meet the nutritional requirements of our student-athletes. » Cleanliness: Upholding rigorous cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen will be a top priority. » Cost-Effective Service: You will be tasked with offering nutrition-packed meals in a cost-effective manner, without compromising on quality. » Inventory and Ordering: Efficiently manage inventory and implement a cost-effective ordering system to ensure a smooth supply chain. » Minimize Waste: Implement strategies to limit food waste, promoting sustaincapability and responsible kitchen practices. » Satisfying Meal Service: Strive to ensure that our student-athletes feel satiated and satisfied with the meal service provided. Working Schedule: We offer both seasonal and year-round options for this job offer. The food service operates from Monday to Friday, catering to an average of 50 residents.
