SUNY Orange is currently seeking a full-time adjunct Director of Financial Aid.
The adjunct Director of Financial Aid will be primarily responsible for the management of various loan programs. this job offer is a core member of the Financial Aid team who participates in all office activities and develops a comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State financial aid programs and guiding regulations to best assist students and families. The adjunct Director will assume responsibility for coordinating all aspects of the Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized loan programs and the Default Management Program including loan origination, eligibility, disbursement, and account reconciliation in delivery, recalculations and return of Title IV funds. this job offer will also provide individual loan counseling to students and maintain working relationships with government agencies, banks, and internal stakeholders. The adjunct Director will be responsible for preparing and submitting external reports, and maintaining on-going communication with loan recipients to ensure that all loan requirements are met.

In addition, the adjunct Director of Financial Aid will act as the liaison for the BRIDGES, EOP and TRiO programs, in addition to, Veterans Services, providing support to staff and students as related to navigating the financial aid process. this job offer will exercise professional judgement in the determination of independent status and individual special conditions that may impact financial aid awards.

General Requirements:

Education Required: Bachelor's degree.
practice Required: A minimum of five years of progressively responsible practice in student accounts, financial services, accounting or auditing; Strong computer expertise with proficiency in computer applications. Excellent verbal and written communication expertise.
Preferred Knowledge, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
   » Master's degree.
   » Prior practice working at a community college.
   » Training and supervision of staff.
   » Familiarity with Financial Aid module of Banner 9.
   » practice with Banner (or other higher education) student system.
   » Prior practice working with financial aid or student accounts.
   » capability to apply complex regulations to a variety of situations.
   » capability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, all college employees and the public.
   » capability to manage multiple projects within time constraints, with a high degree of accuracy and minimal supervision.
   » Must be able to travel between the College's two campuses and other sites, as needed.
   » Bilingual expertise.

income: $50,208-$66,526 per annum, commensurate with practice.
This is a 12 month Staff and Chair, Grade 50 position.
