The Technical Training manager works with leaders to identify critical learning needs and drives the implementation of new and enhanced employee training and development programs. This individual is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the training staff. What does a Technical Training manager do? » Supervises the training staff » Provides skills in developing and executing learning strategies and programs across the Company » Analyzes organizational training needs to implement new or enhance existing programming » Evaluates individual and organizational development needs » Implements various learning methods (i.e. online, instructor-led, experiential) » Designs and delivers e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings » Guides leadership abilities in assessing employee development opportunities » Supports the strategic planning and budgeting processes » Performs other related tasks as required » Provides storm/ emergency response support What does it take to be a Technical Training manager? Required: » Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Communication, Education, Organizational Psychology or a significant field and 3 years of related practice. In lieu of bachelor’s, associates degree in the aforementioned fields and at least 5 years of significant practice. In lieu of associates degree, high school diploma or equivalent and at least 7 years of practice in related field required. » capability to lead a team » Excellent organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills » Skilled in training facilitation and/ or curriculum design » Skilled at training needs analysis » Skilled with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods » capability to communicate and interact effectively in a multi-functional and diverse organization » Strong conceptual thinking and analytical skills » Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications » capability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information » Valid drivers license Preferred: » practice in Energy & Utilities or services industry » practice using a Learning Management System (LMS) to coordinate, track, and report on employee training » Previous managery practice Applications will be accepted until July 17, 2024 .
