ATHLETIC TRAINER, CLUB SPORTS

Work Days: Varies located on the business need.
Shift Start/End Time: Varies located on the business need.
Hours Per Week: 5-10
Weeks Per Year: 20-30
The Club Sports Athletic Trainer is present at all on-campus or ?home? league games during the regular season for 5-6 club sports teams.
   » Provide trainer coverage in the event of an illness or injury.
   » Evaluates athletic injuries and medical conditions, and provides immediate response.
   » Maintains accurate and thorough keeping of everyday injury records on all players.
   » Communicates injuries and reports incidents to the Student Activities department. The position hours may expand over time located on student interest.
   » Must obtain a National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (NATA-BOC).
   » First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications required.
   » Must be licensed in the State of New York.
   » capability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
   » capability to function in a service and team-oriented environment.
   » Demonstrated capability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse student body
   » capability to function independently, display strong attention to detail, work under pressure, meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
   » Understand or availability to understand governing rules for the individual sport leagues within which our club teams participate.
