Student Services Manager- School of Humanities, Arts & Social Sc

Job Summary
The Manager of Student Services will supervise the design and delivery of support services to students in the School of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences (HASS) as well as Institute students completing HASS curricular obligations. The Manager of Student Services collaborates with campus constituencies in support of student learning and wellness.

Minimum Qualifications
   » Bachelor's degree in related field
   » Five (5) or more years of practice with academic advising, student services, student affairs, career development or other related field
   » Prior managery practice
significant combinations of education, training and practice may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
   » practice in higher education highly preferred

Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities
   » Demonstrated proficiency with on-line degree audit and tracking system such as Degree Works
   » capability to train and supervise others effectively
   » Exceptional interpersonal expertise with the capability to influence and build working relationships with a culturally diverse population at all levels across the Institute
   » capability to create a welcoming environment that is inclusive of students from diverse backgrounds
   » capability to efficiently multi task, work under pressure, handle frequent interruptions and meet deadlines
   » Proficiency in MS Office Suite software applications
   » Strong organizational and time management expertise with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail in a complex organizational environment
   » capability to work independently and contribute to a team environment
   » capability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
   » capability to anticipate and solve problems
   » capability to initiate projects and function as a self-starter
   » capability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and apply FERPA regulations
