Teacher's Aide - $18/hrTeacher’s Aide – $18/hrJob location: Pleasant Valley, NY Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Type of employment: Temporary / Temp-to-Hire We are seeking for a Teacher’s Aide to assist teachers and students with everyday classroom activities and instructional support. this job offer works under the direction of the Teacher(s) and Director of Education and follows the school’s academic calendar. Teacher’s Aide Responsibilities: » Provide support to students in individual, small-group, and whole-class activities as directed. » Assist with preparing and adapting learning materials under teacher supervision. » Help students with mobility, physical needs, and personal care tasks. » Monitor and record student behavior and progress as instructed. » Reinforce behavioral strategies outlined in intervention plans. » Support related services, such as positioning, communication devices, and feeding protocols. Teacher’s Aide Physical General Requirements: » Must be able to execute SCIP takedowns, including bending, lunging, squatting, twisting, and kneeling. » Assist with toileting, hygiene, and dressing needs. » Lift and transfer students when required, including use of a changing table. » Help students navigate stairs, enter and exit vehicles, and evacuate in emergencies. » Push wheelchairs and properly secure them in transportation.
