Job Summary The Groundskeeper Sr. performs grounds and landscape tasks, snow removal and equipment operations connected with the maintenance of the campus grounds and athletic fields and support all campus wide events. Minimum Qualifications All candidates must have a » High school diploma or equivalent » Valid US driver's license As a Sr. Groundskeeper, candidates must also have » Three (3) year practice in landscape maintenance including operation of grounds related equipment significant combinations of education, training and practice will be considered. Preferred Qualifications Minimum expertise, expertise, and Abilities • capability to operate hand power equipment and grounds related maintenance equipment • capability to read, write and perform simple arithmetic • Basic computer expertise including Microsoft and job specific software • capability to work independently and as part of a team • Excellent customer service expertise • capability to communicate effectively • Must have the capability to work flexible hours which may include, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays Shift Business Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally required TravelLocal travel between campus locations only Driving Driving a Rensselaer vehicle for non-passenger use Starting income/Rate Expected hiring range: » Sr. Groundskeeper: $19.50 - $22.50 per hour Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials.
