Director-Teaching & Learning AnalyticsReporting to the Vice Provost of Academic Operations and Quality, this job offer will support the University using data and research to drive decisions, improve curricula, instructional methods, and learning environments. this job offer will supervise the creation and implementation of a new student success model framework, manage the data review model, identify metrics that predict student success, and report on student success collaboration progress. It is preferred that the Director-Teaching & Learning Analytics is located in Albany, New York, or a surrounding vicinity. However, remote work accommodations will be considered.tasks and Responsibilities: » Develop and implement the student success collaboration model. » Coordinate with academic colleges to support the Analytics and Decision Support (ADS) team to develop a data reporting dashboard to measure key performance indicators, drive instructional and student support decisions. » Coordinate with the ADS team to continually improve the range of data analytics services and tools available to inform decisions about the student academic practice. » Coordinate with academic affairs within the colleges to make best use of learning analytics tools, data, and services with a focus on using data to improve the overall student practice and student success. » Identify, develop, and document use cases with focus on best practices and innovative solutions and their impact on student success. » Manage 1-2 coordinators. » Serve as a liaison between the academic units and the Analytics and Decision Support unit, to help better understand and prioritize the needs of academic affairs for descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights. » To participate in and lead meetings that help articulate complex concepts in simple terms to senior academic stakeholders and use data visualization and storytelling to inform decisions. » Communicate and present results putting forward recommendations to units within the University, including the development of presentations and written reports. » Manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives connected with learning analytics, including maintenance of project files, organization of meetings, and monitoring follow-up actions. » Remain current on the broader e-learning environment and analytics landscape, in support of the University Strategic Plan. Minimum Qualifications and expertise » Master's degree or higher. » 5+ years of working practice, focused on using data to support strategy, teaching and learning, and institutional effectiveness. » practice working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. » Demonstrated practice and strong track record of working across various levels of organizations. » practice working with larger technical and data initiatives involving stakeholders from across the institution. » Excellent analytical expertise and capability to analyze large datasets, with capability to clean data and correct errors, and interpret, analyze, and develop recommendations. » capability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, with practice structuring data to help tell a story. » Excellent project management expertise and capability to meet deadlines. » Excellent expertise in presentation software and Microsoft Excel; capable of operating in pre-configured business intelligence/reporting tool. » Passionate about building dashboards that increase faculty and administrator engagement » practice working with quantitative and qualitative research methods and design.
