Special Projects Manager

Overview

Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Special Projects Manager. Primary Function: collaborate closely with executive leadership abilities and various departments to define project goals, coordinate execution, and ensure prosperous results. Your capability to manage ambiguity and implement solutions will be crucial to achieving key business objectives.
Responsibilities
   » Communicates project plans and updates to the project team and management.
   » supervises the implementation and design of projects.
   » Manages the project team in achieving the project scope, schedule and cost objectives.
   » Identifies problems and implements solutions to improve performance against established objectives
   » Gathers information from teams regarding performance to create visibility into opportunities for improvement.
   » Facilitates discussions and conducts meetings to address issues
   » Enforces compliance of project management methodology
   » Use data and analysis to inform project direction, make decisions, and adjust plans as needed.
   » Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency across all project phases.
   » Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained expertise. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
   » Embrace and apply HVCU’s guiding principles to all activities and responsibilities. This includes the Credit Union’s Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee and Member Value Propositions, Sales and Service Model, and commitment to Lean Six Sigma practices. Support the Credit Union’s initiatives by demonstrating teamwork and professionalism.
   » Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.

Qualifications
   » Associate's Degree or at least 2 years equivalent practice for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of practice in significant field (business, computer science, engineering) preferred
   » Agile or Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PMI_ACP) preferred
   » Minimum 3 Years of project management leading or co-leading teams, with strong track record of managing projects using Agile and Waterfall methologies practice preferred
