In support of SUNY Orange's workforce development strategy, the Workforce Solutions unit will support the creation of opportunities focused on providing high-impact solutions to local employers including strengthening their employee's expertise and competencies through customized workforce development training and services. As such, SUNY Orange is recruiting a pool of highly motivated and qualified candidates with high levels of creativity and energy to provide classroom instruction and customized corporate training to our clients. We also seek facilitators with consulting practice in performance and training needs analysis, and be able to create and enhance customized curriculum and program materials. Training topics will vary according to the analysis of the client's business, performance, learning, and work environment needs. Popular subjects have included leadership abilities, team building, service excellence, managery, process improvement, diversity, safety, and computer and technology training. All Training Facilitators are part-time, appointed for a specific teaching assignment, and wages will depend upon the nature of the course, and your qualifications and practice.
Education Required: Associate's degree or higher
practice Required: Minimum of two years of significant professional teaching or training practice
Preferred expertise, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
» Demonstrated, industry-specific training practice in at least one of the following sectors: Leisure and Hospitality; Food and Beverage; Healthcare; and Advanced Manufacturing & Warehouse Distribution
» Related professional certifications and licenses
» practice conducting business client needs assessments and strategic learning assessments to identify the educational needs of others
» expertise of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for groups, and the measurement of training effects
» practice customizing educational and training programs or classes
» capability to communicate information and ideas in writing and presenting as appropriate for the needs of the audience so others will understand
» practice teaching online classes while leveraging a variety of teaching strategies that fosters interaction and independence and boosts student's critical thinking
» capability to be flexible and possess polished platform expertise with practice motivating and developing people
» capability to travel and provide prompt and efficient service to the client and College staff
» Bilingual expertise
