Multicultural Counselor/Case Manager

The objective of this job offer is to provide counseling, case management, consultations, crisis interventions, and educational programming/outreach within the College community with a particular focus on covering the mental health needs of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), first-generation, LGBTQIA+ and international students, students from economically underprivileged backgrounds, as well as students from other legally protected classes and diverse communities on campus.
   » Provide counseling and psychological consultation for undergraduate & graduate students.
   » Provide case management services to undergraduate and graduate students to address physical and mental health needs and food/housing insecurity.
   » Provide crisis intervention & management services including after hours on-call rotation.
   » Facilitate workshops & presentations for the college community.
   » Participate in outreach programming and advertisement to the campus community.
   » Maintain case documentation & record keeping according to NY State guidelines.
   » Supervise a graduate counseling intern.
General Requirements:
   » Master's Degree or Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline.
   » expertise of and practice with multicultural issues and concerns impacting students from diverse backgrounds.
   » Demonstrated capability to work with a wide variety of clients especially those from historically marginalized groups and across a range of presenting problems, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, racial trauma, and abuse.
   » Clinical practice with the developmental issues and concerns of college students; previous college counseling center practice is preferred.
   » practice assisting clients in navigating their health plans to access needed services.
   » Availcapability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
   » Availcapability to provide crisis intervention as part of an after hours on-call rotation.

Additional Information:
Full Time position.  Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required.
This an academic year, 9-month (37 weeks) position (September to mid-May), with specific dates determined by manager. 
In addition to an hourly pay rate, compensation includes comprehensive health and dental benefits, pro-rated vacation, holiday and other time off, tuition remission (100% tuition remission 2 classes per semester), retirement plan and wellness programs including the use of our fitness center.
