Administrative adjunct to the CEO

Independent Living, Inc., a progressive and dynamic cross-discapability services organization and a leader in the provision of peer services in the Hudson Valley region is seeking to hire an Executive adjunct to the CEO . The Executive adjunct to the CEO will provide support to the CEO, work closely with other administrative and management staff all while assisting with the other day-to-day operations, activities and events.

   » Provides dedicated support to the Executive Director/CEO on projects and programs pertaining to administrative, strategic, organizational and operational functions of the Center.
   » capability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative.
   » Interfaces with other administrative and management staff keeping the CEO informed of day-to-day operations, activities and events.
   » Prepares correspondence and maintains files for the CEO.
   » Maintains the CEOs calendar.
   » Creates vouchers for CEOs expenses and tracks receipts.
   » Participates in and coordinates all activities regarding the Board of Directors.
   » Ensures that meetings are recorded, and minutes and agreements are taken and distributes to appropriate staff and board members.
   » Manages the logistics of the monthly Board Meetings including ordering food, reminding staff that reports are due one week in advance, taking minutes and closing the building when the meeting has ended.
   » Maintains board governance documents.
   » Provides dedicated support and coordination of development team processes and agendas.
   » Obtains licapability and Workers Compensation certificates for contracts.
   » Coordinates and maintains the ILI (Independent Living, Inc.) and IHC (Independent Home Care, Inc.) Board and Committee calendars.
   » Actively participates in Administrative Team meetings.
   » Coordinates snow closings.
   » The above list of responsibilities is not intended to be all inclusive, other responsibilities and/or training may be assigned or required.

   » Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.
   » Must be flexible with schedule to meet the needs of the agency.

   » High School Diploma or equivalent; college preferred.
   » Five years of practice in an executive level administrative support position.
