The student body, or Corps of Cadets, numbers 4,400, and each year approximately 1,000 cadets graduate and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army.The West Point Association of Graduates (WPAOG) seeks a full-time, on-site IT Helpdesk Support Analyst. this job offer reports directly to the Associate Director of IT Infrastructure and Support, who in turn reports to the VP of Information Technology. this job offer will provide level-one administration and support for all end-user hardware, operating systems, and network connectivity (including remote access and mobile devices) for all AOG employees. this job offer will manage HappyFox, our helpdesk ticketing system, respond to incoming tickets and close them out as appropriate. This staff member will work with StoredTech, our managed service provider, when we need to escalate an issue or have them provide additional support. The individual must be able to troubleshoot software, hardware, and network connectivity issues at a user’s desktop or over the phone. Additional tasks include: » preparing laptops and other hardware for newly hired employees and moving equipment within the building as needed. » Maintenance of O365 user mailboxes, distribution lists and shared mailboxes. » Configuring and maintaining user profiles in the Spectrum voice portal for telephone service. » Troubleshooting network high volume copiers and coordinating support from the copier vendor. There may be other infrastructure and support tasks as assigned by the Associate Director. A Bachelor’s Degree, with a strong preference for computer science or information systems, is preferred, as is practice in network management. significant certifications (CompTIA A+, Net+ and Sec+, etc.) are a plus, along with 3-5 years’ practice in an IT support function. Great customer service expertise and a pleasant, professional demeanor are required.
