Listing description

SUNY Orange is currently seeking a full-time Administrative adjunct to work under the direction of the Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF) and the Vice President for Workforce, Strategy and Innovation (VPWSI). The Administrative adjunct will assist both Vice Presidents with the everyday operations of the Office of the Vice President for Administration & Finance, as well as, the Office of the Vice President for Workforce, Strategy and Innovation. The Administrative adjunct will also act as a liaison between VPAF and VPWSI and their staff to help insure the flow of information. The Administrative adjunct will work with the VPAF and VPWSI to assist in the preparation and coordination of the College's operating and capital budget, labor negotiations, confidential matters pertaining to personnel, grant development and other related assignments as directed by each Vice President.
In this function, the Administrative adjunct will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that will include; managing internal and external communications between both the VPAF and VPWSI and their staff. The Administrative adjunct will also screen each Vice Presidents mail, email, voicemail and appointments while exercising individual judgement and expertise. This Administrative adjunct will also be expected to route inquiries and mail to various Division managers for follow up.

General Requirements:

Required Education and practice: Bachelor's Degree with one-year administrative practice or Associate's Degree with three years administrative practice, or equivalent education and practice. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word). Effective communication expertise both verbally and in writing.
Preferred expertise, expertise, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:
   » Minimum 3 years of practice in college administration
   » capability to effectively establish and maintain working relationship with supervising personnel, co-workers, all college employees and the public.
   » capability to prioritize multi-facet tasks without direct supervision.
   » Strong organizational expertise.
   » Must be able to travel between the college's two campuses and other sites.
   » Bilingual expertise.

income Range: $45,000 to $55,000 per annum, commensurate with practice
