Job Summary
The Sr. Prospect Management Analyst contributes to the division's focus on portfolio optimization to improve fundraising performance. Using business intelligence and prospect research tools, the Sr. Prospect Management Analyst supports Institute Advancement's efforts to prioritize prospects within an individual fundraiser's portfolio. In this varied, cross-functional function, Sr. Prospect Management Analyst is expected to deliver innovative solutions through synthesizing prospecting strategies and management processes together with enriched data-driven analyses.

Minimum Qualifications
   » Bachelor's Degree in related field
   » Four (4) or more years of significant practice in working in the analysis and knowledge of data and databases in an environment that requires an knowledge of the business needs and priorities. 
A significant combination of education, directly related practice, and training may be substituted for a degree.

Preferred Qualifications
   » Master's degree in related field
   » 3 or more years of practice in higher education fundraising
   » practice with advanced querying and analytical tools; SQL and knowledge of business intelligence visualization/reporting tools is highly preferred.
 

Minimum Knowledge, expertise, and Abilities
   » Knowledge of business intelligence visualization/reporting tools
   » capability to identify and translate business needs into actionable, stream-lined data solutions and articulate solutions clearly to facilitate user-empowerment and strategic fundraising
   » Requires excellent interpersonal expertise; capability to work well with colleagues, institute administrators, faculty, and alumni in a pro-active, customer-service oriented manner
   » Effective organizational expertise with the capability to manage and execute multiple projects in a deadline, detail-oriented environment
   » Strong analytical and reporting expertise; analytical thinking and complex problem-solving expertise, taking general information and translating into sound documentation
   » capability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
   » Strong attention to detail and thorough knowledge of the drivers and interrelations of various data points
   » A sense of curiosity and an capability to work as a part of a cohesive team
   » Requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Word (merges, advanced formatting) and Microsoft Excel (including sorting and data comparison) and PowerPoint and working within large-scale databases
   » Working knowledge of fundraising Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) software preferred

Shift
Business Hours: Monday - Friday

Starting income/Rate
Expected hiring range: $75,000 - $85,000
Pay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate's income will be determined located on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate's qualifications, practice, education and other job-related credentials. This hiring range is provided as Rensselaer's good faith estimate of the expected hiring range at the time of posting.
