TEMPORARY SUMMER adjunctS - FACILITIES AND EVENTSWork Days: Monday-Friday with occasional nights and weekendsShift Start/End Time: Facilities positions are 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m with some flexibility. Events position shifts vary between the hours of 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours Per Week: 25-30. Hours will vary each week located on the business need. Temp Summer adjuncts - Facilities (6 positions) and Events (6 positions) Pay Status and Classification: Non-exempt, Temporary. This is a summer position (8-10 weeks). Work Job location: this job offer is an on-site function. manager: Director of Special Events and Conferences or adjunct Director of Facilities - Business Manager Position Purpose: Supports Facilities Services in preparing, planning and executing summer events and conferences at the College. Essential Responsibilities and tasks: »Event Support: Participates in planning meetings and/or events which includes but not limited to supporting location assignments, food orders, transportation arrangements, audio/visual orders, creation of signage and room diagrams. Attends and monitors events for summer conferences. »Administrative Support: Manages room assignments thru scheduling software. Ensures all residence halls and other facilities are properly prepared; provides customer support where needed. Attends and monitors events for Summer conferences. Creates and assigns work orders. Manages office paperwork and files. Processes invoices. Qualifications required » Prior customer service or event support practice highly desirable. » Excellent communication and interpersonal expertise and capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. » Strong expertise of safety rules and regulations. » Outstanding customer service expertise. » Strong organizational expertise. » Effective computer expertise and capability to use and lgain new software quickly. » capability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team atmosphere. » capability to lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.), and stand, bend and stoop for extended periods of time. » capability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends located on the business need. » The capability to foster and enhance a thriving, diverse, inclusive, and culturally vibrant community, while promoting a sense of belonging among students, faculty and staff colleagues, and alumni. » Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of faculty, students, and colleagues.
